Re-Verification Every Time You Access the Site

If you are having to re-verify the same computer every time you access the Construction Monitor website, follow these steps to correct the issue.
You must have cookies enabled for our site.  If you delete cookies you will have to re-verify your computer after you delete them.  If you have cookies enabled and are not doing anything that deletes them, and still you are having to re-verify, then continue below:

Please Note: If your browser "cookies" get reset, you will have to verify your computer again.

For Internet Explorer 7/8/9/10:

Method 1 (Adding an Exception for Construction Monitor):

  1. Go to the "Tools" Menu in the upper right-hand side of the browser window. In IE9/10 it is a gear icon.
  2. Mouse down to the "Internet Options" at the bottom of the drop down.
  3. On the "General" tab that comes up look down at "Browsing History" and ensure "Delete browsing history on exit" is NOT checked. This will cause problems with the verification process.
  4. Next click on the "Security" tab at the top, 2nd from the left.
  5. Click on the "Trusted Sites" icon with the green checkmark, then click the "Sites" button below and to the left of that.
  6. Type in "https://www.constructionmonitor.com" into the "Add this website to the zone:" box and click the "Add" button to the right of it, then click the "Close" button.
  7. Next click on the "Privacy" tab at the top, 3rd from the left.
  8. Click the "Sites" button in about the middle of the window
  9. Type in "constructionmonitor.com" in the "Address of Website:" box and click "Allow"
  10. This should stop Internet Explorer from interfering with cookies on our website, and you should now be able to verify and use as normal without issues.
  11. If you are still having issues with this, try using Method 2 below.

Method 2 (Resetting all settings to their Defaults):

  1. Go to the "Tools" Menu in the upper right-hand side of the browser window. In IE9 it is a gear icon.
  2. Mouse down to the "Internet Options" at the bottom of the drop down.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab in the new window that opens up. Upper Right Corner
  4. Click on the button that says "Reset..." at the bottom of the window, above the "OK", "Cancel", and "Apply" buttons
  5. Click "Reset" in the dialog box that opens up.
  6. Click the "OK" button that comes up.
  7. You will now need to close all your Internet Explorer Windows, and re-open them.

For Mozilla Firefox:

Method 1 (Adding an Exception for Construction Monitor):

  1. Go to the "Tools" menu. In newer versions this could be 3 Horizontal bars in the top right corner, or an orange "Firefox" in the top left corner.
  2. Go to "Options"
  3. Click on the "Privacy" button
  4. Where it says "Firefox will:" choose "Use Custom Settings for history", it may already be selected.
  5. Click the "Exceptions..." button and in the "Address of web site:" box type "constructionmonitor.com" and hit "Allow"
  6. Find the "Keep Until:" dropdown and ensure "I close firefox" is not selected. If this is selected,, even with the exception the verification cookie will be deleted every time.
  7. If you would like to stop other cookies but allow cookies for the Construction you should un-check the "Accept Cookies from sites" box, instead of having Firefox delete cookies everytime.

Method 2 (Resetting all settings to their Defaults):

  1. Close all Mozilla Firefox windows
  2. Click on your Windows Start Menu
  3. Go to "Programs" or "All Programs"
  4. Find and click the "Mozilla Firefox" folder
  5. Click "Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)"
  6. Check the entry that says "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults", and none others.
  7. Hit the button that says "Make Changes and Restart"
  8. When you next visit the Construction Monitor you will need to verify this computer one last time.

For Google Chrome:

Method 1 (Adding an Exception for Construction Monitor):

  1. Click on the Menu Icon (3 Horizontal bars) in the top right corner
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Near the bottom, click on "Show advanced settings..."
  4. Click the "Content Settings" button under the "Privacy" heading.
  5. Ensure "Allow local data to be set (recommended)" is selected.
  6. Click the "Manage Exceptions" button under the "Cookies" head
  7. Type "constructionmonitor.com", ensure the dropdown box says "allow", and hit enter.
  8. You may now close that options tab, you may need verify Construction Monitor one last time.
